By on January 25, 2019

Last week COTR, Inc. kicked off the New Year winning a pair of trophies that further solidified the company’s growing reputation as a premium pleasure products company that’s redefining the marketplace. Founder Alicia Sinclair was named Woman of the Year at the 2019 XBIZ Exec Awards and the very next day, COTR Account Executive Tracy Felder joined Sinclair onstage at the 2019 XBIZ Awards to accept the Progressive Company of the Year award.

“It’s pretty incredible to start a company with a mission to provide comprehensive pleasure-based sex education and to be inclusive and to have those things so well responded to gives me faith in the state of our marketplace,” Sinclair told the audience at the star-studded 2019 XBIZ Awards show, which was held Jan. 17 at the Westin Bonaventure hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

Founded by Sinclair in 2015 after noticing the need for an inclusive, research-based approach to sextech, COTR, Inc. has successfully launched three sexual lifestyle brands: b-Vibe™, Le Wand™ and The Cowgirl , each bringing thoughtful innovation to a long outdated category.

The company has earned a slew of mainstream media attention and acknowledgments since its launch, including b-Vibe’s Novice Plug being picked as GQ’s Best Sex Toy for Back Door Beginner and Le Wand Petite recognized with the first ever Women’s Health Femme Tech Award.

Dedicated to an exceptional consumer experience, COTR, Inc. takes innovation even further with an in-depth educational approach. All COTR, Inc. products come with pleasure guides and easy-to-follow instructions, while every respective site features continually updated content and advice to help consumers learn more about not only the products, but their bodies and their desires. Always body-safe, every COTR, Inc. product has a seal-of-approval from Sinclair, who’s also a sex educator and a 17-year adult retail industry vet with the goal of elevating a rapidly changing industry.

At the 2019 XBIZ Exec Awards, Sinclair stood before her colleagues as they loudly cheered her on while she accepted the 2019 Woman of the Year trophy. During her speech, Sinclair said embraced the support of her industry friends.

“I really feel that I belong in this industry and that’s because of you guys, so I want to say thank you,” Sinclair told the audience.

“To all of the awesome women (or people) nominated in this category — you are all inspiring,” she said. “Your support and your passion is incredible. It is an amazing time to be a part of this industry and I am just loving seeing everyone kick ass.”
