John Stagliano – Evil Angel Video

By on February 27, 2019

I was a part time porn actor, mostly softcore, and still pictures, I was also a male stripper and I saved my money to produce a movie on my own. I started producing and directing porn movies in 1983, and I started Evil Angel in 1989.

I’m most proud of
I am most proud of Fashionistas, the movie that I first released in 2003 and the dance show I created from it. The Fashionistas Live Show at the Krave nightclub at The Aladdin in Las Vegas ran from 2004 to 2008.

The most significant influence in my working career was
I went through puberty right around 1963, right when the sexual revolution was
happening. There were all these interesting images starting to come up in our
society and on TV. I’ve always felt that that was significant in my development.

One of the most memorable moments was
I majored in about six different things in my first two years of college from English to Journalism to Engineering. I then took modern dance, but at first that was mostly because the girls
would wear these little leotards. That would just drive me nuts. There were very few girls in economics classes so Im sure that influenced my change of heart and career direction.

Last book I read
I am currently trying to get through two books on the 2007 financial crisis. one from the point of view of Austrian economics, ’It didn’t Have to Be This Way’, the other ‘Crashed’, by Adam Tooze. These are tough reads, but I am keenly interested in economics still. I finished rereading ‘Anthem’. by Ayn Rand recently as part of a discussion group on her ideas.

What I wanted to be
There was a time when I really wanted to be a baseball player. Then I planned to get an economics PhD and become a professor.

What would most people not know about me
I was a professional dancer and I was in the first show at Chippendales in 1979.

When I’m not working I’d rather be
Watching sports or playing video games with my 8-year-old son.
