Review – Urge Strapless Strap On – XR Brands
A ‘Strapless Strap-on’ may be an oxymoron but the contradiction is a popular one, so our extensive whoredrobe contains many examples from a variety of different brands, each slightly different in shape or function from the last. Amongst the models manufactured by XR under their StrapU brand comes the Urge, claimed to be ‘The world’s first strapless strap-on with remote!’.
With an insertable length of 4” and 1.5” girth for the wearer, and a 6” length and 1.65” girth for the recipient, the Urge is nicely weighted – important! – and it’s not too flexible or inflexible (I know – picky but hey, I’m a professional). This strapless strap-on acted as an excellent Kegel trainer too. Always a bonus!
We also loved how the Urge had two independent motors, one in the recipient’s shaft and one in the vaginal bulb worn by the giver, both easily operated by the ‘…remote!’. These could also be controlled in situ by the buttons on the Urge itself, giving both users plenty of different ways to enjoy the toy.
A dildo is more unwieldy than a penis as it lacks sensation or muscular direction, which is why generally speaking people often end up resorting to a regular strap-on: a harness gives the wearer better control, above all for anal pegging which can be markedly trickier. So there’s so much to get right with a strapless strap-on – as there is with a Rabbit – because suitability depends entirely on the individual’s anatomy: each user couldn’t be more unique. Hence, it’s more difficult to get a strapless dildo right than one with a harness, and it’s really ‘trial and error’ to see which product works for you personally.
For us, the Urge encompassed all the right elements yet somehow still fell short for the wearer – but then so have most of the other strapless strap-ons we’ve tried over the years. However, if you’re someone who gets on well with Rabbit vibrators then it’s more likely the Urge is definitely one to add to the collection!
