World’s First Sex Toys Integrated with VR Porn

VirtualRealPorn and Lovense have teamed up to take 3D porn to the next level. In addition to the immersion possible using Oculus Rift or other VR headset, you can now feel the action using one of Lovense’s high tech sex toys. The male toy will contract based on the speed of the female performer and vibrate during body-to-body contact. The female toy will respond in a similar way.

The Spain-based VirtualRealPorn team has been coding the integration since November 2014 and the new version of their video player will be launched in the coming days. Toy synchronization has always been a priority.

“Since our inception, the goal was to create an experience that felt completely immersive. The VirtualRealPorn team researched all kinds of devices in the sex toy industry- searching for something to add more immersion to the experience we provide. We discovered Lovense and immediately saw the possibilities of integration.” said Leonor Laplaza, the co-founder of VirtualRealPorn.

The toys integrate via the VirtualRealPorn’s video player, branded Virtual Real Player. The actors’ movements are coded for each video and the video player send commands to the Lovense sex toys wirelessly via bluetooth.

Currently, the toy synchronization feature is supported for Oculus Rift DK1, DK2 and the upcoming Oculus CV1 headsets. The VirtualRealPorn team is currently coding this feature for Samsung Gear VR headsets, and plan to release the updated player in Q4 2015. The upcoming Android smartphone app will also include this feature when it is released in Q3 2015.

Lovense provided technical support throughout the integration, but VRP took the development lead and continues to do so. However, the founder of Lovense is closely watching how the integration is received by VirtualRealPorn’s subscribers and is willing to support the idea with more resources in the future.

“The Lovense team has been focusing on providing sex tech solutions to long distance couples, but felt this partnership was a great opportunity to branch out. We believe a lot of the early adopters for the Oculus Rift and other VR headsets will be open to adult content. VirtualRealPorn is the leader for 3D adult content, so we are excited to see the response from their users. It’s a good test to see if the idea is worth further investing in. If things go well, it’s possible for us to design toys specifically for VR Porn.” said Dan Lau, founder of Lovense.
