SEXPO Heats Up Melbourne

Melbourne, VIC, – SEXPO Melbourne 2016 once again delivered in spades for all event stakeholders. With near on 30,000 people attending from November 24-27 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, SEXPO continues to shine as the premier Australian event for the adult industry.

A snapshot of highlights from the event include:

– Over 180 exhibitors and retailers
– A fully scheduled S.H.A.R.E. Seminar Theatre with over 9 different presenters speaking on topics including BDSM, relationship building, tantra and gender identity
– Over 60% new main stage acts
-High volume attendance of the Laporium, Fetish Room and All Male Revue Lounge
-A record setting Thursday night attendance of over 3000
-The first time SEXPO has hosted a trans adult star on its adult stars stage (Venus Lux)
– The introduction of Australia’s largest indoor drone racing event – DroneX; featuring 24 of Australia’s leading drone pilots and racers
– An incredible display of Cosplay skill and competition over three heats and one final

SEXPO continues to be on the cutting edge of industry technology, with inclusions of event-floor activations such as the virtual reality experience, virtual reality gaming, and the very popular stripper robot. Boosted by a free VR headset for all patrons, post-show surveys indicate that over 90% of patrons’ expectations had been exceeded. Most exhibitors also reported a high volume of sales over the four days, noting Thursday and Saturday being the most profitable trade days.

Media coverage of the event, domestic and international, was also at an all-time high, with over 50 registered media organisations in attendance including the Herald Sun, the Age and Mamamia.com. Melbourne certainly came out in droves to make SEXPO’s 20th Birthday Party one to remember.
