2022 AVN Hall of Fame Inducts Jiro Takashima, Inventor and Founder of Aneros

Houston, TX – Aneros® is extremely honored and proud to announce its founder, Mr. Jiro Takashima, has been inducted into the 2022 AVN Hall Of Fame. The announcement came Saturday, January 22, during the AVN Awards.  Hall of Fame recognition does not come easily, with nominees undergoing a grueling vetting process to determine who will achieve this distinction. This award is well deserved as Aneros has long been considered a pioneer in the sexual health and wellness industry and an originator in the prostate massage sector. 

“It’s a wonderful honor that’s been bestowed on Mr. Takashima in recognition of his achievements!  With almost three decades of work in this field, he created something that men not only needed, but wanted and in the process improved the quality of life for over 1 million people” says Brent Aldon, Aneros’ director of sales and marketing.

Decades ago, Mr. Takashima was approached by a health professional friend seeking a therapeutic device that prostate owners could use at home, and with greater frequency, replacing the need for trips to a clinic. After many months of research, Mr. Takashima invented an anatomically designed device that provided relief for people with prostate-related issues. The response from the public was tremendous, but the feedback turned out to be far more than anticipated, with users describing incredibly powerful prostate orgasms as a side effect. Thus, the Aneros brand was born, and with it, a company focused on the development of products for sexual health and pleasure. 

Jiro Takashima helped to create an entire pleasure product category with his designs. Furthermore, his original concepts have come to be reflected in the myriad of prostate products seen around the world today.  It is a distinguished legacy that is the basis for Mr. Takashima’s induction into the AVN Hall of Fame.
