Desireé Duffy Honored with Marketing Executive of the Year Award

Los Angeles, California -Desireé Duffy, the public relations director and member of the highly-regarded California Exotic Novelties’ marketing team, received the Marketing Executive of the Year Award from XBIZ Magazine on Thursday, January 15, 2015. The dinner was held at the Andaz Hotel in Los Angeles and was part of the annual 360 Future of Digital Media Conference.

Susan Colvin, President and CEO of California Exotic Novelties, says, “Congratulations to Desireé! We’re very proud of her and appreciate all she does for the company. We love seeing her hard work and dedication recognized.”

Duffy has been with California Exotic Novelties for nearly four years and has a diverse career in marketing, public relations, social media and event planning that spans the entertainment, non-profit, and consumer packaged goods industries.

“I’m surprised and honored to receive the award,” says Duffy. “Everything that California Exotic Novelties does is essentially marketing—from the amazing team who creates the products, the talented artists who design the packaging, and the strategic people behind the placement of the advertisements—that’s all marketing. I’m a cog in the wheel of a remarkable machine run by Susan Colvin, and I’m happy to be a part of it. Thank you.”

Some of Duffy’s professional accomplishments include developing the company’s award-winning online community—Club CalExotics—which is dedicated to educating the public about sexual health and wellness; building the infrastructure to produce in-house corporate videos and digital content; garnering recognition in major mainstream media; and forging partnerships with esteemed institutes of higher learning like Harvard and Boston University.

A natural communicator and visionary, Desireé Duffy is routinely published in trade magazines; speaks in public; writes about marketing, technology and innovation; and is the author of a fiction novel. She is a graduate of Marian University, and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in English and communication and art. Duffy also attended the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, and is currently pursuing degrees in archaeology/anthropology and internet marketing.
