“We have built a lot of momentum for Team Wicked, and we have no intention of slowing down,” said jessica drake. “Receiving such great coverage from Localish LA has helped get the word out about everything this wonderful organization is doing, and has done, for years. Now that the event is being held online, we hope that people who haven’t been able to participate in years’ past due to location can come together to fight HIV and AIDS.”
jessica drake and Team Wicked have made AIDS Walk LA an annual tradition, raising over $130K for AIDS and HIV research, treatment, and prevention. Participating in this event has become a mainstay every year, shining a spotlight on an important cause which has affected the world.
Team Wicked will be putting its efforts behind the Support Walk, which raises awareness and funds for critical programs benefiting older adults living with HIV, including nutritious meals, counseling, and housing. It also provides resources and funding for AIDS Walk LA’s transgender support programs and women’s wellness programs which help the community stay healthy and well, regardless of HIV status.
Once a participant has registered with Team Wicked, they can customize and promote their fundraising page in a myriad of ways. There is no minimum requirement to raise for the cause. To learn more or to support Team Wicked, click here.
