Mick Blue Wins Male Performer of the Year at 2015 XRCO Awards

VENICE, CA – Mick Blue won the Male Performer of the Year trophy at the 2015 XRCO Awards on Saturday night, securing his position as the hottest male star in the adult industry today.

It was his seventh award of this year and second for Male Performer of the Year, having won the title at the 2015 AVN Awards in January. At AVN he also went home with trophies for Best Double Penetration Sex Scene for Anikka 2 (Hard X); Best Group Sex Scene and Most Outrageous Sex Scene for Gangbang Me; Best Three-Way Sex Scene for Allie (Hard X/O.L. Entertainment).

Mick also won a Best Scene award at the 2015 XBIZ Awards for Gangbang Me (Hard X).

Making this win extra dramatic was that his wife, Anikka Albrite, also won Female Performer of the Year, their second husband-and-wife Performer of the Year win. They are the only couple to pull that off in the history of the adult industry.

“We just got back from a vacation where we celebrated our first anniversary,” Mick said. “It’s been the greatest year of my life and I am so thankful to my gorgeous wife Anikka, all the XRCO voters and the adult fans, without whom none of this would be possible. This is something I will never forget in my entire life.”

The Austrian is only the second performer born outside North America to win XRCO’s Male Performer of the Year award.

“When we won AVN a few months ago, it was mind-blowing, like a dream come true,” Mick told AVN.com over the weekend. “Now we are four months into the new year, and XRCO came around. We thought it would be awesome if we could win it together, but you know, we got AVN and if somebody else got it we would be happy for them. But here we are, we won it again. It’s amazing. Thanks to the reviewers and the fans who take the time and support our movies. We need to keep in mind that in order to be here we can’t do it alone. We’re lucky to work with all those other great performers who gave their best in the scenes they worked together with us. It’s teamwork that makes it happen.”

One new movie that stars Mick releases this week: How to Train a Hot Wife (New Sensations), directed by Jacky St. James. He also recently completed directing American POV 2 for Magma Films, which will be available this spring.
