Rapper 50 Cent Endorses LELO HEX Condoms
Stockholm, SE – LELO’s game-changing HEX™ condoms this week found an unexpected and completely organic fan in US rapper 50 Cent.
The LELO love appeared on the rapper’s Facebook page after he had apparently discovered an article about HEX™ condoms on a popular website, OMG Facts. The multiple Grammy-winner shared his typically direct thoughts on the product, leading to tens of thousands of likes, shares and comments.
This in turn led to an upsurge of search traffic and a record sales day for HEX™ on www.lelo.com. The post itself was received with positivity and good humor, despite the notably pointed turn of phrase used by the rapper, as well as the enhanced claims made about the condom by OMG Facts.
LELO CMO Steve Thomson said: “What a testament to the power of social media! To drive such a huge volume of interest from the back of a single Facebook post is amazing. While we of course would have liked an opportunity to make it clear that no condom is truly ‘unbreakable’ and so on, we can only welcome 50 Cent’s commitment to safe sex. The more condoms in the world, the better.”
LELO was mentioned in the past by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, Caitlyn Jenner and most recently was featured on reality TV show WAGS Miami, on E! Entertainment, and even featured prominently in a Hollywood movie named “Christmas Party”, with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman.
50 Cent’s Facebook page currently has 37.5 million fans; unsurprising then that such a public endorsement should result in so much run-off interest and sales. Media attention continues to grow for HEX™, which originally broke records when it smashed its own crowdfunding goals on launch.
