Rock Candy Announces ‘Summer of Pride’ Series

Los Angeles, CA – Rock Candy Toys is proud to announce its inaugural Summer of Pride series, which will honor impactful adult industry members in the LGBTQIA+ community.

According to the company, Summer of Pride was created to reflect the spirit of Rock Candy’s annual Ladies of the Industry series, which recognizes femme-identifying industry members during Women’s History Month.

Taking place from June 1 through late August, the engaging series will spotlight each honoree in a dedicated post on Rock Candy’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts, accompanied by a bio and short interview. Rock Candy will also provide a special gift for each honoree. 

Rock Candy Sales and Project Manager Jackie Richerson shared, “Summer of Pride will show support and love for those who have made significant industry contributions throughout their careers, while also being influential figures who represent diversity and inclusion within this space.”

Since debuting in March 2021, Rock Candy’s Ladies of the Industry series has recognized over 30 industry members throughout adult retail, distribution, digital publishing, and sexual health education.

Richerson continued, “the pleasure product industry’s marketing, product development and sexual health education efforts have made such positive strides in accessibility and inclusivity. This is largely attributed to the diverse perspectives and lived experiences that our LGBTQIA+ peers bring to the table.”

Two upcoming Summer of Pride honorees include Rin from The Garden in Columbus, Ohio, and Valentine from Spectrum Boutique.

“We are so excited to kick off this special series, and celebrate alongside Pride events throughout the US all summer long, ” said Rock Candy Director of Sales Tracy Leone. “Ladies of the Industry has been such a fulfilling experience for everyone involved. Summer of Pride allows us to shift this spotlight, and show love for highly-respected LGBTQIA+ friends and colleagues who contribute to the vibrancy of our one-of-a-kind industry.”
