Sydney, NSW – Sock Drawer Heroes (SDH), a trans and queer owned company specialising in gender affirming products, announces the release of their own chest binder range which has been carefully designed in Sydney to respond directly to the needs of the trans and gender diverse community and chest binder wearers.
The range has been developed and designed after years of gathering insights and feedback from the trans and gender diverse community, and the SDH team’s own experience with binding, to create the most functional, comfortable, inclusive and safe chest binders on the market.
Sydney-based Sock Drawer Heroes worked closely with an external team of skilled garment technicians based in Melbourne with over 12 years of experience to create the range, which focuses on inclusivity, affordability, and sensory friendliness.

Finding a comfortable and affordable binder that fits properly can be a major challenge for many
people in the trans and gender diverse community.
SDH binders are available in an inclusive size range from 2XS to 5XL, and priced affordably to
ensure accessibility, making them some of the most affordable quality binders on the market.

The SDH chest binder has been designed with sensory friendliness in mind. SDH recognises that
many people in the trans and gender diverse community have sensory sensitivities that make it
difficult to wear certain types of clothing, including binders. SDH chest binders have been
designed with concealed inner seams and made with materials that are soft, lightweight, and
breathable, making it more comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.
The SDH chest binder is available in two styles – Short and Long – and five colours – black, white,
and three skin tones. Black and white will be released in May 2023. The skin tone options will be
released in late 2023.
