Sydney-siders Embrace More Technology in Their Sex Lives

Sydney, AUS – SEXPO, the world’s No. 1 consumer exhibition for the adult industry, debuted it’s ‘Feel the Future’ themed show in Sydney last month at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour. Guests and patrons visited from all corners of the globe, contributing to what was an extremely successful event for all.

Over 25,000 people attended SEXPO Sydney 2018, making this the best performing SEXPO in over five years. Outstanding ticket sales showed Sydney-siders purchased 500% more Platinum Top Tier tickets in comparison to the last time SEXPO visited Sydney.

SEXPO continues to attract a strong audience from the 25-34 year old age group, showing approximately 55% female to 45% male guests attending over the four days. Interestingly, there was strong growth in attendance from the 45+ year old market showing that the seminars and competitions are appealing to people of all ages and ultimately that middle-aged patrons are intrigued about what they can do to liven up their sex lives, relationships and what is new when it comes to adult products.

More than 25 local and international stars worked at expo over the four days including Lisa Ann, Jenna Haze, Aubrey Black, Isabelle Deltore and Madison Missina. Over 40 live stage shows were performed at the expo and 35 health and wellness seminars took place, educating crowds of people on a range of topics from sex and disability to dominatrix practices to exploring the female anatomy.

Other popular attractions that patrons were drawn to over the course of the weekend included Harmony, the companion robot from the team at Realdoll, the VR stands enabling people to transport themselves into unimaginable environments and the Delorean replica car. Thousands of patrons were able to take photos and discuss the development of these world first technologies face-to-face with their developers.
