Australia’s national adults-only industry association has a new General Manager. The vacancy was caused by the election of its former CEO, Fiona Patten, to the Victorian Upper House, at the last state election.

Eros President, David Watt said “We are very happy to announce, that after an exhausting and thorough process, which included, 800 views of the job description advertisement on SEEK, 80 resumes highlighted and read, 20 phone conversations with candidates, 10 face to face interviews, three final interviews, that EROS is proud to present its new general manager, Alina Tooley.”

Ms Tooley comes from previous industry association roles within the agricultural and biotechnology sector. Before that she was a Director of the Blood Borne Virus and Sexually Transmissible Infections (BBVS) Programs at the Department of Health and Ageing in Canberra.

“Alina has good experience in the non-profit sector”, said Mr Watt. “She has a great vision for EROS and knows how to work with the Board to add tangible value for our members and stakeholders.”

Ms Tooley said “ I am excited to be appointed to the role, and continue the good work EROS has been doing for over 20 years and look forward to utilizing my skills from working within other industry associations to benefit the members of EROS”

Ms Tooley has approximately 15 years of experience in general management; policy development and program management within state and federal government; health care management; advocacy; membership organisations and industry associations. She is a specialist in delivering positive results in challenging and difficult industry and regulatory environments.
