Consumer Demand Sees SEXPO Return to Adelaide After Four-Year Break
Melbourne, AUS – SEXPO returned to South Australia over the weekend after a four year break, showcasing it’s ‘Feel the Future’ themed show in the heart of the CBD at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Guests flocked from all corners of the state, contributing to what was a successful event for all exhibitors, performers and expo staff.
Over 12,000 people attended SEXPO Adelaide 2018, proving there is an ever growing interest in exploring what’s new in the world of adult entertainment. Impressive ticket sales showed South Australians wanted to get the most from their expo experience with Premium Top Tier tickets selling out on Saturday.
SEXPO continues to attract a strong audience from the 25-34 year old age group with approximately a 55% female to 45% male ratio. Impressively, positive responses from attendees at the S.H.A.R.E. (sexual health and relationship education) seminars show that Aussies are just as interested in learning about new practices as they are about buying new toys to play with.
Over 40 entertainers performed over the three days, showcasing amazing acts in acrobatics, dancing, flame throwing and rope tying. Four international stars made appearances including Alexis Texas, Kendra Sunderland, Kleio Valentien and Zoey Monroe to which guests took photos and received autographs. In addition, 100 retailers showcased all of the newest and hottest products available for purchase within the adult industry.
Other popular attractions that patrons were drawn to over the course of the weekend included the VR stands, providing all guests with a free VR headset to take home, strip poker tournaments hosted by OMG Entertainment and the increasingly curious Fetish Playroom.
“The success of SEXPO in Adelaide, 2018 says to us that South Australians are looking to embrace adult products and sexual practices in their private lives and are open to learning about new things. Exhibitors reported that sales were outstanding and additionally the SEXPO merchandise was completely sold out.” says Bentleigh Gibson, SEXPO National Event Director.
“SEXPO has now been running for 22 years, and this year’s Adelaide event was only possible with the help of the team at the Adelaide Convention Centre who welcomed SEXPO to its venue. Boasting a superior location, this venue and the convention team provided outstanding service and we cannot wait to bring another expo there in the near future.”
