Review – Ava – Jìl – SHOTS

By on April 22, 2020

Already heavy hitters on the international scene, Shots toys are increasingly a force to be reckoned with. Their Jìl collection comprises a number of stylish vibrators running the gamut from a cock ring to a wand, and includes three different rabbits named Keira, Mila and Ava. We were sent the Ava in black, but you could also buy it in pink or purple.

The Ava arrived in a sleek white box with the contents clearly displayed and the Jìl logo picked out on a tiny fabric patch. I found this soft grey material spot stuck onto the shiny cardboard irrationally appealing: sometimes it’s the unexpected things in life which bring joy, and for a potential purchaser this touch instantly made the Jìl collection that little bit more tangible.

What of the Ava itself? Well, since the Keira is the all-round slimline rabbit and the Mila boasts the ubiquitous rabbit ears, it’s left to the Ava to feature a solid clit-stim stem alongside a blunt bulbous shaft. It’s a good-looking toy, aesthetically pleasing with its organic appearance and streamline curves.

In practise, the Ava is charged via a self-sealing port on its back and operated by two buttons on its base. Like its Jìl counterparts, the Ava has two motors; one in each shaft. Altogether it has 10 settings: three speeds and seven pulse patterns. These aren’t the fiercest of vibrations, but they’re great for people who prefer a more tender touch.

Along with the rest of the Jìl range, the Ava’s main attraction is the excellent flexibility of its medical-grade silicone. This ‘Silicone Flex’ technology sets it apart from its competitors: take it from one who has endured excruciating pinches in the name of reviewing so-called ‘erotic’ rabbit vibrators! Instead, the Ava bestows the gentlest of touches which you can mould to your body shape just as you desire; again, making it perfectly suited to sensitive players – or to customers who might not normally choose a rabbit due to concern about its fit.

The Ava retails in the region of $175AUD, so she doesn’t come cheap. But if you’re searching for a quiet, waterproof rabbit in a comfortable, forgiving shape with lots of lovely flex, Shots’ Ava could prove covetable enough to be priceless.
