Review Girls Girls Girls – Mötley Crüe, Lovehoney
I’ve learned a thing or two about the rock n roll lifestyle over the years, so, when Lovehoney brought out a Mötley Crüe range of vibrators, each named for one of their hit singles, I totally got it as Lovehoney’s previous collection with rock gods Motörhead was a successful formula with a proven track record.
It’s the thirtieth anniversary year of Mötley Crüe’s hit ‘Girls Girls Girls’, so it struck us as timely to cover Lovehoney’s two releases, the Girls Girls Girls 2.5” Bullet Vibrator and the 6” Vibrator.
Fittingly, the two vibrators have that über-cool rock-chick chic, being black and sleek and sporting the same cool neon strip-lighting script as the original Mötley Crüe album cover. Yes, with their tough exteriors these toys ooze attitude, albeit a retro cool which is reminiscent of classic ‘80s pre silicone-sheathed vibrators.
In terms of power, it definitely is back to the old school, as you’ll need some AAA batteries to get these Mötley Crüe products in gear. As the Girls Girls Girls vibrators are waterproof, this can make for fiddly and frustrating unscrewing and replacing of the push-button bases to their correct position.
However, for Battery-Operated Boyfriends these rock-hard Mötley Crüe products are surprisingly forceful: because the vibrations are all over rather than just focussed at the tip, the toys can feel uncomfortable in your hand – the smaller Bullet especially. So, if you can imagine these vibrators playing sufficiently hard and fast to numb your hand, it stands to reason that they might also feel too intense for some women to play with clitorally. Conversely, this means the throaty throbbing of the larger vibrator should prove powerful enough to gratify when used vaginally – not always an easy achievement with battery-powered sex toys.
The Girls Girls Girls Bullet has three speeds and seven patterns, while its big brother the 6” Vibrator has three speeds and four patterns. We prefer the latter as it’s easier on the hand and a good all-rounder, but either way you’re onto a good thing with Lovehoney’s Mötley Crüe range: for appearance, function and the all-important price-point, these products promise to deliver.
